Sylva-Bay is marching toward district play with momentum on their side with a 53-33 victory over Sacred Heart. The Saints played pretty well on offense, but they held the Crusaders to single-digit scoring in three quarters of the game.

Saints' Robert Milsaps and River Thomas led all scorers with 13 and 10 points respectively. John McKee and Luke Weist had six points each to lead scoring for the Crusaders.

Saints head coach RH Lopez shared his feelings on their performance, "We were a little rusty. We haven't played in about a week. At times we ran our offense well. We made a lot of unforced turnovers. We need to remedy that. Anyway, I'm pleased with the effort. They did a good job."

With playoffs looming near, Sylva-Bay needs to find their rhythm. Lopez is pleased where his team is heading and said this, "We're improving. We are 11-6. We have district games coming up. We have to improve. We have a pretty tough district. Christian Collegiate and Discovery Christian are good basketball programs."

The Saints hosts Discovery Christian School next Monday. Sacred Heart hosts Resurrection Catholic Tuesday.
