Caleb McGill has made it official.

The 6-foot-6, 230-pound forward who averaged 20 points, 10.6 rebounds, and four assists as a senior officially signed with Jones College as their first 2020-2021 signee of the class.

"Caleb has a unique talent and is one of the state's top players," said fourth-year men's basketball head coach Randy Bolden, "His versatility and ability to play multiple positions will make an immediate impact for us. We're excited to get Caleb on campus and get to work."

McGill was voted Petal's MVP three consecutive seasons. He averaged 19.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and two steals per game as a junior while shooting over 50 percent from the floor for his career.

"To me, Jones is a family oriented place and that’s what I’m all about. Coach Bolden and coach Nixon just make it feel like home to me. That, along with the teammates I’ll have once I get on campus, choosing Jones was a no brainer to me," said McGill.

McGill was also named to Mississippi Hoop Reports' All-State First Team and selected to play in the MAC Coaches North/South All-Star Game while leading the Panthers to the 6A playoffs this past season.
